Information and treatment for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
Overview
Sunovion is a company dedicated to pharmaceutical and medical research.
COPD is a condition that makes it hard to breathe and can worsen over time. Cigarette smoking is the most common cause of COPD. Long-term exposure to other lung irritants , such as air pollution or chemical fumes, may also contribute to COPD. COPD disrupts the airflow in and out of your lungs and reduces your lung’s ability to function .
COPD is a chronic disease, and although symptoms may vary from day to day, it’s important to take medicine as prescribed.
Task
Our task was to create an unbranded, information-based platform to help those with COPD learn more about their condition and get the help they need. Sections of the site included: Disease Education, Treatment Options Destination, Treatment Questionnaire, and Patient Home. The site needed to be user-friendly, with clear information in easy-to-read sections.
Target
The Primary target audience: COPD Patients, Pharmacies, and Healthcare providers.
What we did
Franchise Home: My team and I wanted to design a platform where the users closely followed the product’s information and simultaneously learned more about the disease. Based on our research and brand usage scenarios, we expanded our conception into wire-framing and tested the user flows. From the plan constructor, the user can quickly and effortlessly find all the information based on their need.
Inspiration
As the designer, I wanted to generate enthusiasm in people so they would enjoy using the product. I pulled inspiration from nature and added human touch, so the platform wouldn’t look too clinical.
